Pdf Creation From Transfer Description

Purpose

To create a secured textual message, encapsulated in a pdf file, from the description of the transfer.

Details

This feature allows the creation of a textual message, from the description of the transfer, which is encapsulated in a pdf file. The newly created pdf file is then sent to the recipient.

The pdf file is created after the user clicks the send button which sends the transfer to the recipient. The recipient will receive the usual transfer with an attached pdf file which would contain the description as the text message and subject of the transfer along with other details of the transfer. The description of the transfer is replaced by a generic text.

Image

The name of the pdf file is the subject of the transfer and if the user has specified nothing in the subject then the name of the pdf file and the subject in the pdf file will be "Message from [Sender's name]".

Note

This feature works only when there is at least one recipient, at least one character(except whitespace) in the description of the transfer and no files are attached to the transfer.

The newly created pdf looks like this:

Availability

This feature is available on the teambeam web client and on the teambeam application for mobile(Android and IOS) and desktop(Windows and macOS).

Configuration

  • Scope: available to all users
  • Privileges: no privilege is required
  • Default: pdf file is created when there are no files attached to the transfer and there exists at least one character(except whitespace) in the description of the transfer.
  • Effective: immediate, after the user clicks the send button.

Dependencies

This feature depends on the number of files attached, to the transfer, by the sender and on the length of the string in the description of the transfer.

Conflicts

This feature requires the transfer to have no files attached to it. So, the existence of even a single attached file will disable this feature.
